We have had tolerable weather the last couple of weeks but by no means the normal for this time of year. Despite that, the steelhead fishing has been amazing. Lots of fish spread out throughout the whole river from shallow to deep. One good thing about this time of the year, you can pick up fish on any drift. Alot of bonus walleye being caught as well to keep things interesting. The steelhead are starting to spawn even though the water temperatures are only 32 degrees.
I made it to the Niagara bar a couple of times however unfavorable winds have been keeping me away for the most part. The Lakers can be had there along with browns on plastics, jigging spoons and live minnows.
